1. Booking & Deposits
All bookings require a non-refundable deposit to secure the date and time unless agreed otherwise by our moving consultants.
Deposits will not be refunded in the event of cancellation by the client.
Rescheduling is subject to availability and may require a new deposit.
2. Payment Terms
Full payment is due upon completion of services unless otherwise stated in writing.
Additional charges will apply for services beyond the original estimate, including additional inventory, overweight items, long pathways, stairs, or disassembly/reassembly.
3. Claims & Liability
GEO is not liable for damage to TVs or electronic equipments (i.e treadmills, hospital beds, electronic recliners, etc).Claims for damages must be submitted in writing within 24 hours of the move.
Maximum liability is limited to $0.60 per pound per article unless otherwise specified by optional valuation coverage.
4. Inventory & Additional Charges
Quotes are based on the inventory provided at booking.
Any additional items, delays, overweight loads, or special requirements (stairs, elevators, long carry distances, furniture disassembly) will incur additional charges.
5. Mandatory Tips & Meals
For moves exceeding 3 hours, a mandatory gratuity/tip will be added to the final bill.
Lunch breaks are included for moves over 4 hours, with time billed as working hours.
6. Client Responsibilities
Clients must ensure all items are packed, labeled, and ready to move at the agreed start time.
Clients are responsible for securing valuables (jewelry, money, important documents).
Adequate parking arrangements must be made in advance; parking tickets/fees will be billed to the client.
7. Cancellations & Rescheduling
Cancellations forfeit the deposit.
Rescheduling within 48 hours of the move will incur an additional fee.
8. Delays & Force Majeure
GEO Moving is not responsible for delays caused by weather, traffic, strikes, accidents, or other events beyond our control.
9. Insurance & Coverage
Basic liability coverage is included. $1000 deductible is applicable for each claim.
Additional insurance coverage may be purchased separately.
10. Restricted Items
Hazardous materials, explosives, perishable goods, or items prohibited by law will not be transported.
11. Termination of Service
GEO reserves the right to refuse service if the client’s conduct is unsafe, abusive, or violates these terms.
12. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada.
